Saturday 22nd April:
14.00hrs sharp, tour playing and polo shirt issued prior to 1st XV home game v Dereham [not to be worn prior to tour – very stiff Fine for any misdemeanours] Friday 28th April:
Meet at HRFC prompt 07.00 hrs for briefing and medical inspection by Doctor Bowak. •:• Coach leaves at 08.00hrs remember to have passport and European health card to hand •:• Speed ferry from Harwich 10.40hrs Buffet lunch courtesy of tour caterer M. Jury. Arrive at the hotel and be allocated your room and buddy!!! mid afternoon sometime Hotel is www.old-dutch.nl situated close to the centre of Arnhem, arrival drinks in the hotel bar approx. 15 mins post arrival. The rest of the day is yours to take in cultural sights, sounds and smells of this historic Dutch town [remember it will be Queen’s Day so treat the Cloggies with respect] Saturday 29th April:
Breakfast at your leisure in the hotel - service will be provided by nominated waiters before leaving for the first game against Nijmegen Wasps RFC. Post match hospitality at their clubhouse where we will be provided with many souvenirs of our visit (don’t forget an assortment of tools and similar implements may be required in order to liberate some of these gifts!) before returning to Arnhem to prepare for an historical tour of the town given by a resident town historian. Sunday 30th April:
Breakfast at the hotel followed by optional gift shopping into town. Return to hotel by 11.30hrs. Noon leave the hotel for second game against ARFC Arnhem followed by post match hospitality before returning to Arnhem to enjoy the cosmopolitan night life. Monday 1st May:
Breakfast at the hotel, check out of rooms by 10.30hrs and the morning is free to enjoy a final look around Arnhem before the coach departs for home at 13.00hrs •:• Arrive back at the club approx. 20.00 hrs. Tour brochures will be available from Paul Bergin |
