Junior Club Membership

 

 

Parent volunteers are encouraged and always welcome

Junior Club rules

·        A parent or nominated guardian must be present during the coaching session

·        Children, parents & guardians must respect the club facilities at all times

·        Children, parents & guardians must not verbally or physically abuse any members of the coaching staff or referees

·        Children must come with suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions. NO Jewellerry to be worn. 

·        Sunscreen & hats (to be supplied by parents) must be worn during periods of strong sunshine

·        Parents/guardians must inform the coaches of any medical condition and medication e.g. asthma pumps

·        Children must wear gumshields during contact sessions

Haverhill RFC Ltd abides by the National Rugby Union Code of Conduct regarding child protection policy and the RFU Continuum rules for mini-midi and junior players

Roles

Chairman

To organise and facilitate the junior rugby section of Haverhill RFC

Coach 

To lead the coaching for the junior section 

To ensure safe standards of coaching practice are adhered to with regard to club and RUC rules and regulations

Fixtures

To organise fixtures for the junior sides and ensure referees are available for home fixtures.

Welfare Officer

To act as the clubs contact with the RFU in regard of child protection issues 

To act on any reports, complaints or concerns regarding child protection issues at the club.

To ensure that all coaches produce evidence of CRB checks and to provide forms to additional coaches /helpers as required.

Parents' Representative

Is an advocate on behalf of the parents raising concerns and ideas to promote the junior section and club.
