Haverhill Ladies [Lionesses] Tag Rugby Presentation Dinner 2008

Presentation Dinner May 2007 June 2007 Haverhill Ladies played at Barnet in a ladies Touch Rugby Festival with 12 other teams taking part. Haverhill performed well in their first match against London Galaxy which had several England Touch Ruby players in its squad but lost 7 - 0 However in their two other games against Barnet B and Millwall Ladies The Haverhill ladies [Lionesses] were successful Winning 3- 2 and 2-1 respectively This is a non contact game and very good for fitness. May 2007. Haverhill Ladies played their first competitive games against Witham ladies and a mixed youth team winning 16 tries to 12 over 3 games. The team put all their practice to good use spreading the ball out to the wings to outstretch a well organised Witham defence time and again. Scores from Haley H Gamble, Sorcha Lester, Sonia Tinkabel, Ruth Snowy, Sarah Coops, Rachel Bob –Brown, Lara C Cookie and Jackie White.
The fledging Ladies' side have just had their first friendly game against Witham (where these photos were taken) and they are hoping to go to Thetford at the end of June on a 'Ladies Tour' to a Tag Festival
